The Office, Part 2: Light
In Part 1, I mentioned how boring regular offices looked. They didn't inspire me to walk in and linger, let alone to stop and work. So, what would provoke me to walk into a workroom and desire to work long hours?
Natural Light.
I need an abundance of natural light filtering in the space, but like an exquisite work of art, I need it indirectly applied. Even in my current corner, I am pushed up against a window like a lonely houseplant struggling to survive, but despise when I'm in the heat of full sun. Natural light boosts my energy. I am able to focus better and keep pace with my to-do list, and that's saying something.
