He Loved You To The End.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ~John 1:1
Every Christmas, we start over at the beginning.
For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. ~Isaiah 9:6
We picture a darling child nestled in a straw-filled manger, under an unusually bright star, and surrounded by those who knew He would be born. We sing the carols and decorate our abodes, all in the best of taste, and try to remember to be good.
Jesus is there, but for the most part, we've forgotten.
A holy, righteous King, born in humble conditions, became a slave for you.
He lived a humble life to show you just how unabashedly He loves you.
Being completely innocent, a holy, righteous King endured the punishment of every one of your sins, past, present, and future.
Because He still loves you to the end.
We start every Christmas at the beginning to remember the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. ~1 John 4:9-10
