"This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends." John 15:12-13

"And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also."

1 John 4:21

We as the body of Christ are to bear each member, each believer, in such a way that they may make it to the next step. Sometimes a fellow Christian needs a listening ear, a prayer warrior to suit up with them, or something more material.

No matter what it is, it means sacrifice on our part.

We give what we have that our brother may stand firmly in the face of the enemy. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14, 1 Peter 5:9)

What we sacrifice has been given to us from Christ (John 17), and the strength to carry one another's burdens is from the Lord (Psalm 55:22, 68:19). Sustaining one another with love, acceptance and unity (Romans 14:1, 15:7) fulfills the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2).

May we all remember, our fellow Christians, our brothers and sisters in Christ, are not heavy. They're family.
