Come & See
Not one of us believes we could be loved for more than what is seen on the surface. We think if they knew what lurked beneath, the nicest thing they could do is run in the other direction. The monsters haunting us, the deformities we've twisted into, the depravities coloring the shadows, are all revealed if they broke the surface. Who's strong enough, willing enough, to do that?
I only know of One who loves us enough, and is powerful enough to risk it. He
loves us enough to transform us into new creations to no longer be the monsters that lurk under the surface, and nothing, not even us, will stand in His way if we except His love. Once He's in, He is all in.
"But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Let that sink into your inhabitable depths, then your monsters have nowhere else to hide, and you'll have to accept that YOU. ARE. LOVED.
